2010 marks the 51st Anniversary for Missouri Aquarium Society.
This year’s show is our 50th annual event. Show Entry Deadline and Banquet Registration
Deadline is April 15th (which is our April meeting). No exceptions! A full registration packet will be sent to all members in good standing.

The Awards Banquet will be at the Sam’s Steakhouse at $30.00 /person.
Banquet Reservations must be made in advance. The deadline is April 15, 2009.
Time Line:
7:00 PM Wednesday, April 28 Wednesday, Configure show layout @ Marlon Felman's home
8:30 AM: assemble tables, tank water, air lines and begin show setup.
Folks can start setting up their tanks at noon if they would like to pitch in early.
6:00 PM Dinner with the speakers cancelled
Judging starts @ 8 AM
Show room is closed until noon for judging.
Show Room Open after judging is complete, no later than noon.

Ray (Kingfish) Lucas

Ray Kingfish Lucas a hobbyist of 45 years maintaining 12 large aquariums and 2 outdoor ponds, Retired Delphi Harrison (GM) worker of 30 years. Member of many Local and International Aquarium Society's, Past President of the Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs, Certified Judge with Northeast Aquarium Council and Federation of American Aquarium Society's, also a member of the Tropical Fish Hall of Fame. Ray's mentor is Paul Species (Guppies to Groupers) & Aquatic Maestro Series, TV Programs. Ray visits Paul at least 4 times a year. Ray has bred over 150 different species of fish and numerous aquatic Plants. He is also a Grandmaster Aquatic Horticulturist, Ray has also travel to Peru, South American to collect Tropical fish. Other Travels have been to some 240 Aquarium Society Events in the past 14 years since starting Kingfish Services an Educational Promotional Company. Ray has also visit InterZoo the world's largest Pet Show in Germany, while there visit Hobbyist and Factory's that make Pet Products, stopping by the UK to visit Aquarian Flake Food Headquarters and to spent time with Dr. Dave Ford, Dr. Peter Burgess, and many British Hobbyist.
Besides the Love of Tropical Fish Ray spends a lot of time with his 4 grandchildren and loves the adventure of Nascar and Music.
Pat Hartman, “Live Bearers I Have Known”

Pat Hartman has been keeping fish for over 35 years. Although not a founding member, he has been a member of the Southwestern Michigan Aquarium Society (SWMAS) since early 1979. In the early 1980’s he developed a special interest in livebearing fishes, and rapidly became involved with the American Livebearer Association (ALA) where he served in various capacities including Chairman.
Pat is involved in most every aspect of the ALA, having won several major Show Awards at the ALA Convention, participates in the Species Maintenance Program, serves as auctioneer, and has finally reached the elusive magical level of 150 species in the Breeder’s Award Program. Pat was also instrumental in the formation of the ALA Vern Parish Fund where he served as Co-Chairman from 1996-2007. Today he specializes almost exclusively in wild species of Livebearers. Pat was honored by being named “Fellow of the ALA” in 2006.
Jeff Cardwell, “Off to the North, Uruguay, 2008”

Jeff Cardwell has been active in the aquarium hobby for 40 years. He maintains over 70 aquaria and his interests and expertise extend to catfish, killies, rainbowfishes and cichlids. Jeff has traveled extensively to collect aquarium fishes in Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Surinam, Uruguay, Mexico, the Bahamas and the U.S. Virgin Islands. An enthusiastic keeper of North America's native fishes, his collecting trips have also taken him to many parts of the United States. Both as a speaker and a judge, Jeff has been a familiar figure at shows throughout the Midwest for more than twenty years. He is an active member of the American Cichlid Association, the American Killifish Association, the American Livebearer Association, the Circle City Aquarium Society.
