Show Report from Reet

We have put another show in the books. If you were one of the lucky ones that particapated you already know how good it was. If you weren't there, why not?

The show is put on for members to show off their fish and to mingle with other "fish nuts". If you haven't joined us you have no way of knowing the interesting things that go on. You don't have to enter the show to join in. Just show up and join the fun. You can even come to the award presentation, just show up after the dinner.

Of course it is to late for this year, but keep it in mind for next year. It will be here before you know it. Speaking of next year, stay tuned. There are going to be a lot of changes. Less rules, simpler set-up and fewer classes (classes will be combined or dropped). I was very disappointed that there were no entries in the Novelty class. This is one of my favorites. No I didn't enter because of being show chairman. To stimulate interest in this, there will be a special award next year. Free membership for a year. This is a class that you can start working on now! I already have two ideas.

For you out of town readers remember our show is open to anyone. Next years show promises to be a great one. We have already started talking about it. There are going to be some new things. Like maybe a fish related "garage sale" on Saturday afternoon. Particapation by one of the countries leading manufacturers? A "fish" art show, kids and adults. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated right here.

a fishy friend, reet
