Breeders Award Program

The MASI Breeders Award Program (BAP) was established in 1971 with the goal of encouraging members of the Society to breed aquarium fishes and get them to share information about their spawning and rearing.

The idea of having members donate fry for the monthly meeting helps to make available a wider variety of fishes – a benefit for all of our members and for the hobby.

Members earn points for their breeding submissions, and through the accumulation of points, they earn awards.

Hopefully by sharing of fishes and information, and the friendly competition of earning awards, more members of the Society will become interested in the activities of MASI.
