MASI Government
The Missouri Aquarium Society is a democratic hobbyist organization. The day-to-day and year-to-year operation of the club is managed by a team of volunteers and elected councilors who make all of this happen. Elections are held annually, at the June MASI general meeting, and candidates are nominated by members and listed in the MASI Newsletter prior to the election. Any MASI member is invited to run for council or to volunteer for an appointed position. We want to work with you!
On this page, you can learn about MASI's officers and volunteer positions and you can read minutes from past MASI meetings and expense reports from our treasury, to better understand how MASI uses our annual funds to serve club members, to bring in speakers, and to support aquatic conservation.
MASI Council, Officers, Chairs, and Secretaries
The MASI Council consists of four elected officers and seven members at large. Members of council and others appointed by the president manage the club through a series of secretary chair-level positions. Chair positions are occupied by elected members of council.
